The autumn I visited the Grand Canyon, they’d had more rain than they’d had in over 20 years. As a result, there was a surprising amount of growth and lushness. The scenery being what it is, I didn’t get many shots of the flowers, but this is a bit of what I did get. Sadly, I neglected to get names for most of them. That said, the yellow bushy ones are Rabbit Brush and the tall stalks are Century Cactus. An interesting plant, the Century Cactus will remain low growing for decades. Then, one day, it will sprout, and grow feet in one day, until it reaches its full height, spreads its seeds, and dies.
