This week’s challenge was to do a shot featuring the colour red. I think there’s a lot I can do to do a better job of this shot, but don’t know enough yet to know what that is – other than next time I’ll use a tripod. I’ve spent much of this week playing with the settings on my camera and I’ve learned a fair bit about combining ISO with shutter speed and F-stop to take a shot like this with no flash. This new camera keeps stunning me with what it can do as I would never have pulled this off even as well as I did with my other cameras.  For this shot, I used a 1250 ISO, F 17.8 and 1/2 shutter speed. Focal was 50mm and no flash.
