Artistic: Blue You were inspired by the fiery red earlier, now be inspired by calming blue.
I took the photos for this weeks ago, the day I walked into our local field and realised that it had been sowed with Flax. I took close-ups and long shots, and at one point I stood on the spot and turned in a circle, taking pictures 360 degrees. This is my favourite of all of them.
The cloud cover was sporadically constant, with the sun hitting different sections of the scene each time. I have seen these fields delicately green with long beans, soft brown with wheat or barley, brilliantly yellow with rapeseed, but when the sun broke through and touched the far field, it took my breath away.
Light. The essence of photography is light, as is the essence of colour.
